Level B1 means you can:

  • Understand key information when clear standard language is used and it concerns familiar matters related to work, school, leisure activities, etc.
  • Handle most situations that may arise when traveling to German-speaking countries.
  • Express yourself simply and coherently on familiar topics and areas of personal interest.
  • Report on experiences and events, describe dreams, hopes, and goals, and give brief reasons or explanations.


Before taking the B1 level exam, it is advisable to complete an additional preparatory course.

The Full Course B1 should be started after completing the full or intensive course of the previous levels.
