What is TestDaF?

TestDaF (Test of German as a Foreign Language) is a standardized language exam at levels B2–C1.
It is intended for those who plan to study at a German university or want to prove their German skills at an academic level.
TestDaF is internationally recognized and is an important requirement for admission to many universities in Germany.

Target audience:

Applicants who want to study in Germany, students planning an academic exchange, and professionals who need to prove their German language skills for work or for the recognition of their diplomas.

Why is the oral part particularly challenging?

The «Speaking» part of the TestDaF digital exam has high demands:

  • Complex topics: The tasks require the analysis of challenging topics that can be confusing even in your native language.
  • The ability to summarize information, analyze, and justify is crucial.
  • Very limited preparation and speaking time – from 30 seconds to two and a half minutes.
  • No “second chance” because the response is recorded between the sound signals.

This is why focused preparation is essential: You not only need strong language skills but also the ability to provide a well-structured and natural answer within a short time frame.

With the right preparation, you will be able to overcome these challenges and successfully pass the speaking part of the TestDaF digital exam!
